Kelsie McGinnist, Nashville wedding photographer
Hi, I'm Kelsie

✦ The Storyteller

A wife, a mama, a storyteller for the deeply in love.

I moved to Nashville in 2021 to be closer to my mama, and somewhere between the porch sunsets and the slow Tennessee mornings, I rediscovered why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

I'm not here to chase Pinterest poses. I'm here for the way your fiancé looks at you when nobody's watching. The bridesmaid who tears up first. The dad who can't get through his speech. That's the story.

If you cherish quiet moments, value connection over perfection, and want photos that feel as real as the memories themselves — let's talk.

— Kelsie

✦ Love Letters

In their own words.

"

Kelsie made the most chaotic, emotional, beautiful day of my life feel calm. She was a guest, a hype-woman, and a fly on the wall all at once. The gallery brought my mom to tears.

"

We eloped in the Smokies with no plan and no people. Kelsie drove three hours, scouted the trail, and held my bouquet while I cried. The photos are everything.

"

I'm not the kind of guy who likes pictures of himself. Then I saw Kelsie's gallery and got choked up. She caught a version of us I didn't know existed.

✦ The Details

Frequently asked.

Anything else? Send a note — I love a long email.

How far in advance do you book?+

Most weddings are booked 9–14 months out. I take a limited number of dates per season to give every couple my full attention. If your date is close, ask anyway — sometimes magic happens.

Do you travel?+

Yes — domestically and internationally. Travel within Tennessee is included with the Storyteller and Legacy collections; outside TN we'll add flights, lodging, and a single travel day to the quote. I've shot in Asheville, Charleston, the Tetons, and Tulum.

When will we get our gallery?+

A sneak peek of 25–30 images within 48 hours so you can text everyone immediately. The full edited gallery is delivered in 4–6 weeks via a private online portal you can share, download, and print from forever.

What's your editing style?+

Editorial-warm. True-to-life skin tones, lifted shadows, and a hint of film grain. Not orange, not gray — somewhere honest in the middle. My goal is photos that feel timeless in 30 years, not trendy in 30 days.

Do you do payment plans?+

Always. A 25% retainer reserves your date and the rest is split into monthly payments — interest-free — with the final balance due 14 days before the wedding. We can build whatever cadence works.

What if it rains?+

Rain photos are some of my favorites. I pack umbrellas, towels, and a backup body. We adapt and keep going — the day still belongs to you.

Can we order an album later?+

Yes. Heirloom albums (10×10 Italian linen) start at $850 and can be ordered any time after your gallery is delivered. I personally lay out every spread and send a digital proof for approval.
